His bio

Name: Casper Tengstedt
Country: Denmark
Date of birth: 06/01/2000
Club: FC Midtjylland
Height: 1,80m
Position : midfield, left winger
Achievements : six goals in five games in the UEFA Youth League, part of U-17 and U-19 Denmark national teams

A bit of history

Casper Tengstedt started to play at the early age of 4, his first club was Viborg Søndermarken, before moving to Viborg FF. When he was 15 he then went to Midtjylland, one of the big clubs in Denmark. He is still playing for the Danish giant. A big fan of Liverpool FC, he particularly appreciates Philippe Coutinho.

His good sides

Right footed, Casper Tengstedt is above all very skillful, with a great capacity to run the ball. Playing in general on the left side, he comes back on the inside and his sense for the goal is then a great asset. Versatile and tactically very accurate, he can play in different positions depending on the system, from left wing to a more central attacking midfielder.

Quite fast and with a powerful shot, this year he’s been particularly efficient in front of goal, having scored so far six goals in the UEFA Youth League, including a crucial penalty to eliminate AS Roma and reach the round of 16.

His less good sides

At only 19 years old, he is still a bit soft physically and needs to strengthen his body to be able to reach the intensity the professional level demands. He naturally lacks a bit of consistency as he is still in the building process.

What they say about him

"Casper is a strong and modern player, who has a mature vision of the game and knows how to assist and score."
Flemming Broe, Midtjylland Academy Director
