The Games we watched (3 - 8 July)

This week's games to watch drove us from USA where Toledo Villa is taking on Oakland County FC in UPSL while Rochester Lancers plays Inferno Rush in UWS, to Mongolia for an exciting Ulaanbaatar derby and onto the beaches of Nazare for the Euro Beach Soccer League with two giants of the category playing each other : Portugal and Spain.

The Games to watch

Toledo Villa FC 1-0 Oakland County FC

United Premier Soccer League (UPSL)
06/07/2018

As planed, the game was tight between the two teams competing in the Midwest conference. Toldedo managed to score after 17 minutes and then kept the score until the end. With this result, Toledo Villa is now top of the table, one point ahead of Carpathia FC, while Oakland remains fifth of a group of six.

Ulaanbaatar City 1-1 FC Ulaanbaatar

Mongolian Premier League
07/07/2018

The Ulaanbaatar derby could not find its winner this week-end in the Mongolian Premier League. The “FC” scored first on a penalty, 5 minutes after half time. They probably thought they had done the hard part, but “City” managed to come back at minute 64 (see goal below) and more importantly kept the draw until the end. A good result for City in the end, now sixth in the table with nine points.

Rochester Lancers 0-0 Inferno Rush

United Women's Soccer (UWS)
07/07/2018

There's been no winner in the big clash in the United Women’s Soccer league East Conference between Rochester Lancers. Despite their good dynamic, the Rush could not overpass the Lady Lancers. However, they remain first of the East Conference, six points ahead of the Western NY Flash. For Rochester, this is less glorious, as they are now 5th in the group, only one point behind the Flash, though.

Portugal 4-5 Spain

Euro Beach Soccer League - Nazaré 2018
08/07/2018

Crazy game in the second step of the Euro Beach Soccer League in Nazare between two big shots. It took 5 goals and some extra-time to Spain to bea the locals. And, cherry on the cake, the winning goal was beautiful (see below) ! The World Champions 2015 were in front most of the game, but the Spaniards kept on coming back and finally going ahead. A huge win for Spain at the end of a very exciting chase.
