Tajikistan Football has already seen spike in viewers eager for live content

Tajikistan Higher League

AMSTERDAM, 8 April, 2020 MyCujoo and the Tajikistan Football Federation can today announce that a majority of the 2020 Tajikistan Higher League season is now guaranteed to be produced and live streamed on the platform, as part of the 3 year exclusive digital rights deal signed in 2018.

With many sports competitions around the world currently postponed, the agreement ensures that football fans will be able to enjoy these live matches from Tajikistan’s top tier from the comfort of their own homes, across a range of devices. Fans have already signalled their interest in watching this unique content on MyCujoo, with last weekend’s Super Cup attracting ten times more views than average. The TFF will also directly benefit from the updated agreement, as the expansion in live streams will ensure greater revenue flows to the federation for reinvestment in the game.

This partnership demonstrates MyCujoo’s leading position in the global live football broadcasting environment, and the company’s ability to offer innovative, revenue-generating solutions to clubs, leagues, and federations. MyCujoo and the TFF will be monetising the Tajikistan Higher League through a partnership with Genius Sports, and brand opportunities on and off platform around live and on-demand content.

“We’re thrilled to be able to support the TFF in guaranteeing the production of these matches, and provide fans globally with an outlet to safely watch live football at this unparalleled time in the game, and generate crucial revenues for the federation/league”, said Pedro Presa, CEO of MyCujoo. “Our truly global footprint enables MyCujoo to support the delivery of live broadcasting where it is safe to do so, and the wellbeing of all in the football community is at the forefront of our thinking in how we work together with our partners to continue to engage their communities.”

Commenting on the agreement, TFF Vice-President Dilshod Juarev noted “Through our cooperation with MyCujoo, we’re very pleased to provide an outlet for live football which will reach both our existing community and new audiences, at what has been a difficult period for the football family. We look forward to showcasing the many talented players at our clubs to the fullest extent possible, on a digital platform where the monetisation opportunities help support our future ambitions of reinvesting for the next generation.”

At a difficult time in the live sports broadcasting environment, MyCujoo continues to support partners in engaging their communities via the safe delivery of live and on-demand content. This has included building a bot to facilitate and simplify the re-streaming of historic matches, diversifying into other content formats such as virtual coaching sessions, and enabling the streaming of eSports, whilst continuing to enhance its suite of products to make broadcasting and consumption easier than ever before.
